March 1st is also the priority date for completing the 2009-10 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is done online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

You will need you Dept of Education PIN as your electronic signature, and you can sign up for a PIN at www.pin.ed.gov if you do not have one or lost yours.  Award letter packets for continuing students will start to go in the mail at the end of April.  Remember that the earlier you apply, the better financial aid package you will receive (depending on eligibility).

Summer financial aid information is online and the application will be available by March 1st.  Applications will be available online at www.dsu.edu/financial-aid (click on the Summer link) and in the Financial Aid Office.  Remember you will need to be enrolled at least half-time to be eligible for summer aid.  Summer work study applications will be available online and in our office soon.  Priority date is April 10th.  More information on jobs available will be coming at the end of March.
