As the spring semester begins, it’s time to better know your DSU Academic Support Resources**

Get off to a good start this semester!  DSU has a wide variety of Academic Support Resources available free of charge to our students!  Be sure to check them out!

Online Resources
SMARTHINKING – Online Tutoring Program:  E-structors (tutors) are online an average of 20 hours a day (math e-structors are on 24 hours a day).  Provides tutoring in 11 subject areas:  Mathematics (Basic Math Skills, Pre-Algebra through College Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Single Variable Calculus), Economics, Accounting, Introductory Finance, Statistics, Spanish, Writing Help / Online Writing Lab, Chemistry (General and Organic), Physics, Biology, Intro to Human Anatomy, Intro to Physiology

DSU’s OWL – (Online Writing Lab) - Provides writing assistance to students both on the DSU campus and in remote locations.  Students can submit their writing and receive feedback from DSU writing professors and library tutors qualified and trained in English.

Atomic Learning - Provides web-based software training and curriculum resources for more than 110 applications students and educators use every day. Our just-in-time approach focuses on answering the common questions people have when learning popular software packages.   Includes thousands of short, easy-to-understand tutorial movies and a library of curriculum resources that can be used as an integral part of a professional development program, a valuable curriculum supplement, and an anytime/anywhere software training resource.

Learning Express Library - A comprehensive, interactive online learning platform of practice tests and tutorial course series designed to help patrons—students and adult learners—succeed on the academic or licensing tests they must pass. You'll get immediate scoring, complete answer explanations, and an individualized analysis of your results.
On-Campus Resources

Library & Learning Commons Tutors:  The Tutor Center is located on the main floor of the Karl Mundt Library.  Tutors are available in a variety of subjects including Math, Calculus, English, Visual Basic, and Computer Science.  Daytime and evening hours. Math Success Center:  Located in Science Center 126.  Tutors and professors provide math assistance primarily for students in Math 021 and 101.  Available on a walk-in basis.  See http://www.dsu.edu/academics/tutoring/ for Math Success Center hours.

Student Success Center:  Located in the Trojan Center Underground.  Success Center Assistants are available to help students with time management and study skills.  Multimedia resources are available on a number of topics including stress management, study skills, and test anxiety.  See http://www.departments.dsu.edu/studentaffairs/development/ for Success Center hours.
