General Description of Position:

• Provide tutoring services to DSU students.
• Preferred courses: MATH 021, MATH 101, MATH 102, MATH 121, MATH 123, MATH 125, BUS 220

Essential Functions: 

• Support and encourage DSU students by providing quality tutorial assistance in individual and
  small group formats.
• Keep current with the courses tutored.
• Complete all required paperwork related to position.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrated knowledge of subject area.
• Ability to become familiar with learning strategies and tutoring methodologies.
• Excellent communication and study skills.

Qualification Standards:

• Required: Grade A or B in the course(s) tutored or equivalent documented experience.
• Preferred: Faculty recommendation and/or some tutoring experience.

Salary:  $7.15/hour

Hours:  Approximately 10 hours per week.  Flexible schedule.
