Reminder: The Mundt Library’s FOOD FOR FINES Project continues until the end of Finals Week. The Mundt wants to forgive your fine and convert it into a donation into the Food Pantry to help the community. The Food Pantry accepts all non-perishable food items, toiletries and monetary donations. Between now and the end of the semester the library will accept food and toiletries instead of cash to repay library fines.
Here are our guidelines: 1 item (can bottle or box) = for the first $2 in fines and for ea. subsequent part of $2. Donations may be given for up to $25 dollars in fines (most fines are in the $1 – $5 dollar range ) Donations may be given in lieu of fines only, not for the replacement costs for lost or damaged materials Even if you don’t have a fine, the Mundt would welcome your donation to the food drive. If you have been reading the news, you know that the Madison community has been buffeted by a series of layoffs and closures. There is genuine need in this community for a fully stocked Food Pantry. Please donate! Please bring food and other non-perishable items to the Mundt Library as a donation to our local Food Pantry and the library will waive up to $25 dollars in library fines for students/faculty/staff. |
