With the close of the semester coming fast, please review these parking reminders: • On the north side of Emry Hall, a blue parking spot was converted to a red reserved parking spot. Please pay attention to the sign that is posted there. Several spots on the south-side of the Library Lot have been converted to 30-minute Visitor Parking. • Next week, the Board of Regents will be meeting on campus on Thursday and Friday, December 18th and 19th. During this time, there will be no parking in the Library lot to accommodate our guests to campus. • Students who park off campus, please check your vehicle daily. The City of Madison is enforcing a ordinance with which vehicles must move within 24 hours. Some student’s cars were towed last week. If you have a student parking tag, use our parking lots to the north of campus. • With the holidays break coming, students needing to leave cars on campus, please leave vehicles at the North Lot on 9th & Washington during the holiday break. See section IX in the parking policy. A snow removal alert will go into effect during the break. • Students loading or unloading their vehicles may park in fire lane (yellow painted curb) with flashers on for 15 minutes. Please refrain from parking in HANDICAP or RED RESERVED to load/unload your vehicle. • Parking policies are in affect during the Christmas break (Dec. 19-Jan.13) in the handicap, visitor and red reserved (faculty/staff) areas ONLY. • If a student is not returning to campus & have a blue tag they will not be needing. Bring the tag to the Physical Plant. The Physical Plant will reimburse you and resale to students who are on the waiting list. (With the new type of tags – please remove carefully and attach against a wax paper or plastic baggie for portability.) • The parking policies can be found in the student handbook and at http://www.departments.dsu.edu/hr/newsite/policies/018000.htm.
