With the change in the weather and upcoming holidays, here are some parking reminders:
- On Tuesday, NOV. 11th –construction equipment is needed to get around Richardson Hall. NO PARKING on the east and west parking spaces during the work day hours (8am-5pm). Barricades will be put up so the construction company can have work access. This is for Tuesday, Veteran’s Day only. If you plan to be out off campus at this time and leaving the vehicle on campus, move it to another area. No parking east or west of Richardson Hall on Tuesday.
- The DSU parking policies are in effect 6am- 5pm, Monday through Friday. The parking attendant starts ticketing at 7am. Parking policies are in affect during Assessment Day, Monday November 10th in RESERVED, VISITOR, & HANDICAP. Faculty and staff will be off on Tuesday, Nov. 10th, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving break (November 27th & 28th).
- Students loading or unloading their vehicles may park in fire lane (yellow painted curb) with flashers on for 15 minutes. Vehicle need to be moved within 15 minutes. DO NOT PARK IN HANDICAP or RED RESERVED TO UNLOAD YOUR CAR.
- With these November breaks from school coming up, students who need to leave cars on campus, please leave vehicles at the North Lot on 9th & Washington during the break. See section IX in the parking policy.
- With the snow season fast approaching, please park your vehicles away from the curb so that snow removal equipment can pass on the sidewalks with ease, A suggestion that the wheel be about 1 to 2 foot away from the curb is a good gauge to go by.
- Also please refer to the campus Snow Removal policy at http://www.departments.dsu.edu/hr/newsite/policies/014000.htm for information regarding parking on campus during snow alerts.
