Josey Pooler was named King. Pooler, from Warner, SD, is in his fourth year at DSU as an elementary education major.  At DSU Pooler is involved in intramurals and was part of the 2008 new student orientation team.

Terra Toribio was named Queen. She is from Mitchell, SD, and is in her third year at DSU, majoring in digital arts and design.  Toribio is vice president of the Student Activities Board, and a member of Kappa Sigma Iota and Phi Eta Sigma.  She is also a resident assistant at the 8-plex apartments.
