DSU Career Services has many new opportunities listed on their website -- check them out at http://www.departments.dsu.edu/career/students/student_overview.asp. Here is another great opportunity that was just sent to us. The South Dakota EPSCoR program is announcing the availability of 12 undergraduate research assistantships for the Summer of 2009. Stipends for undergraduate students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) fields are for $4,000, to be paid over a 10 to 12 week (May-August) period. Student projects emphasizing research in Photo-Active Nanoscale Systems will be given first priority. Information on the PANS research can be found at www.sdepscor.org. Applicants must be undergraduate students who will be a sophomore, junior or senior at a South Dakota university or tribal college in the fall 2009 semester. Complete applications consist of a cover letter from the student, a letter of support from the proposed faculty research mentor that commits the mentor to supervising this project and confirms that funding exists for its research-related expenses, and an unofficial transcript. The complete application and information is available at DSU Career Services, 206 Heston Hall. |

Contact Lynn Ryan for more information The school is in a town in NE Thailand about 5 hours from Bangkok. Providing airfare and some cost of living plus a monthly salary. The salary doesn't add up to a lot by our standards, but would be more than enough to live on in Thailand. There are some housing possibilities also and a woman from Thailand who lives in Madison knows some people there that could assist a student interested in doing this job. The position begins in May. |

They started Friday evening with just a theme and some constraints – and, by the closing bell on Sunday, had produced 370 games. DSU students along with other participants (including students from West Texas A&M) gathered in East Hall for the weekend, and produced four games: |
